Corporate Gift Kit Cost Guide 2026: What $25, $50 and $100 Per Person Actually Buys

A line-item breakdown of what corporate gift kits cost at $25, $50 and $100 per recipient — product, decoration, packaging and freight separated, so you can budget before you brief a supplier.

Most corporate gifting budgets fail before they start. The number is set in a meeting ("let's do $50 a head"), then the first supplier quote comes back at $71 and nobody can explain where the extra $21 went. This guide breaks down what gift kits actually cost at three common budget points — and which line items quietly eat the budget if you don't control them.

The four costs inside every kit

Every kit price is the sum of four separate things. A transparent supplier quotes them separately; a bundled quote hides them.

Line itemTypical share of budgetWhat drives it
Products55–70%Item count, materials, brand equivalents, electronics content
Decoration8–15%Number of imprint locations, stitch count, print colours, engraving area
Packaging & kitting10–20%Box grade (mailer vs rigid magnetic), inserts, tissue, assembly labour
Freight & delivery10–18%Carton shipping vs drop-ship to individual addresses

What $25 per person buys

The volume tier. Realistic for conferences, trade shows and large internal programs where the recipient list runs into the hundreds or thousands.

What $50 per person buys

The most common corporate tier, and the point where a kit starts to feel considered rather than promotional. This is the standard range for new-hire welcome kits and client gifts.

What $100 per person buys

The executive tier — board gifts, top-client appreciation, speaker gifts, key-account ABM. At this level the kit is competing with what the recipient would buy themselves, so every item has to earn its place.

Three rules that hold at every budget

  1. Anchor first, fillers never. One item should carry 40–50% of the product budget. Kits built from five equal-cost items photograph well and are forgotten by Friday.
  2. Quote decoration and packaging as line items. If a supplier won't separate them, you can't see where the money goes — and neither can your CFO.
  3. Lock freight mode before finalising contents. A kit that works at $50 shipped to one address may not work drop-shipped. The box weight and dimensions move the freight line more than most buyers expect.

The bottom line

Budget per recipient is the start of the conversation, not the whole conversation. The same $50 produces a forgettable kit or a remembered one depending on how the four line items are balanced. Ask for the split — any supplier running real costing can show it in one table.
